The other thing I wonder is with so many pens going down the middle or waiting to see which way the keeper goes are any keepers tempted to stay in the middle of the goal? I guess it takes balls and you may look a fool if it's put in the corner. I can totally understand why you wouldn't do it in a match but would doing it fairly early in a shoot out give you a advantage because it might make some of the later takers worry about going down the middle as it's now not as safe.

Similar in vein to Baseball where the ball moves so quickly that as soon as a batter sees the ball leave the pitchers hand it's already on them.*

You can train penalties as a goalkeeper. Its been proven. Penalties are not the lottery some like to make out.
Look at Harry Kane, he usually always does the same thing. But as his technique is so good with how he strikes the ball. The keeper can still go the right way though and give themselves a better chance.
Think it gets harder in a shootout as the players wont have so much history. But still, with all the researches and analytics in football nowadays. They should have it covered.*Except Michael, who died.Comment

In fairness (and i might be in the minority) I didn't think that there was much in it. There is similar contact in most games and while theyou are trying to get rid of contact, if you give that you will be giving a pen ato every other corner
