Don’t think he knows himself most of the time.Originally posted by Chris View PostVAR is boss, thats the sort of thing that we get done over with at Old Trafford. Like when Mascherano fouled Valencia outside the area and they got a pen for it.
Also, what the **** is Murphy on about?!3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Their time at Salzburg overlapped for a few months where Mane showed him the ropes and helped him with speaking German etc.Originally posted by Big-Red-Ed View PostHaha. Sorry guys. Panic over. I vaguely remember a friendship with Mane and thought he was Senegalese.

Each to their own. They can think what they like. But they don't represent me and I don't represent them. I'm not interested in theirs or anyone else's Nationalism.
If that makes me a snob, I'm cool with that.
I love living in England. I'm just not proud of being labelled as English.
Worse I’d suggest.3rd place. Worst champions ever.

It'll be difficult to judge, England tend to get put out by the first decent side they meet in the knockout stages (if they get that far). This is an young side and you would normally say if they got to the quarter finals they would have done well but it wouldn't take much to reach a quarter final with the potential draw. They could qualify from the group if they beat Panama making the Belgium game meaningless, if they qualify they will meet the winner or runner up from group H in the last 16 (Japan/Senegal/Poland/Colombia), you would have to say that is a fairly favourable draw up to that point, and they wouldn't have had to beat a top side yetOriginally posted by Phoenix07 View PostYoung team, a world class goalscorer, and a manager who is trying different things. If they don't win it, they'll get close. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It's a shame he couldn't do it when he was a player it might have improved his gameOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostDanny Murphy Mind Reader, isn't sure that Salah put the penalty where he wanted to.

The only thing you could say about their last 16 opponents, is that they'll throw everything at them, but, like you saw last night, a world class goalscorer who can win you the game when you're not playing well is invaluable.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostIt'll be difficult to judge, England tend to get put out by the first decent side they meet in the knockout stages (if they get that far). I think once you get to the quarters, it'll be a different kettle of fish with the pressure of playing top sides - having to beat 3 top sides to win the tournament. Also, there's the question of fitness. With England players having played a lot of football already, we'll see how they get on. I haven't read or heard anything about Southgate's methods regarding conditioning. I think that could be crucial in the latter stages.
If they can handle the psychological and physical aspects at that point (Quarter-Finals and beyond), they could stand a great chance, as they have the technical aspects sorted IMO.
