no dont want him and dont think he would come, has'nt got the stamina or pace and cant beat a man. you want more of a contribution than taking a few free kicks and corners in a game!

When has that ever stopped a player from demanding more?

The only way he would take any sort of pay cut would be to go back to United imo. I think that his stock commercially is on the wane and that we would not get the enormous boost in merchandising, unless he really starred in our team. I don't think he would necissarily do that. I accept that other people will feel differently and I think the arguments are perfectly valid, but I think signing him now would be a retrograde step.

Right, so you wouldnt sign Rooney or Ronaldo then, if we could?

The priority is what's best for the team, from a football point of view, not whether you like the player or his wife.

Oh do one mate, it's been on SSN talking about his next move, considering he's now free to speak to clubs about a Bosman move in the summer.

And you think Shanks would've made a welcome banner for Bellamy or Pennant?

Maybe we should re-sign Rush, Molby and Heighway?

Bad examples. Beckham has always been a Man Utd fan. Rooney and Ronaldo have not.

If you had used Gary Neville as your example then my answer would be I would still be against signing him. I don't believe they'd give their all for the club, when the chips are really down.

Must be true then. Does it mention us in relation to Beckham then?

It doesnt bother me who the player supported as a kid, if they have the ability and a positive enough impact on the team, then i'd have them.

I think Beckham would. You dont, which is fair enough.

But "he's a manc" is a daft reason IMO.

COuldn't bear to see people walking around Anfield with liverpool shirts with beckham on the back, his missus would never be out of the papers if he came back to England,a nd she really get on my nerves.

Plus what will they call their next kid, Formby?

Not saying it's true that we're in for him, but he looks like he'll be on the move and the option of going for him is there for anyone.

Not a 'story' i've pulled out of the air, as you seemed to suggest.

Why dont you just not open my threads? Save us both the bother.

He supported them as an adult aswell, not just as a wide-eyed kid. IF he moved to us it would be purely a financial move for him. He's not interested in winning things for Liverpool, he's won all the domestic honours already. I want players who are hungry for success, not just money.
