yes I would, he's a rough diamond still, but he's got star quality about him. If we signed him he would get lots of games and I think that would really benefit his game.

Could be genius - he certainly looked like he was going to be when he was at Citeh

If, however, I was given a choice between signing SWP and Lennon, I would choose Lennon

          A Resounding yes.

He will not be allowed to join any of the other top 3 sides though.

There was a time when I'd have bitten your hand off. Not entirely convinced at the moment though.

People have short memories - he was genuinely outstanding for City for a sustained period of time; scoring and making goals regularly. I remember him scoring a typical Wright-Phillips effort against us at Anfield, on the night Igor got booed on. He was irrepressible at the time.

But his form has deserted him spectacularly - he really does look a very poor performer at the minute and, ideally, I'd like him to show a semblance of form before we ever signed him.

well you wont see it while at Chelsea

he was bought to stop others getting him, plain and simple.

He's been dreadful for Chelsea, cant even control a ball properly anymore, i'd of bit your hand off at City but seeing him at a club packed with other quality players im not so sure, he looks way out of his depth there.

I'd take him. I think he has been spectaculary mismanaged ever since City accepted Chelsea's bid.

He should never have gone there in the first place but seeing he did, he hasn't had chance to play on a regular basis and he looks like a lad who needs to play with confidence. Maureen has hardly given it to him. He hasn't really helped his plight at Chelsea.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Never know, he might not settle at West Ham, Rafa will see that then sign him.

two years ago yes, but not now, he's been really poor for chelsea, they have had problems going forward and he has had a few chances and he's been diabolical..

I agree but hes not going to get any sort of form at the chavs due to lack of of 1st team football so I think its going to have to take a gamble for a team to take him but if that gamble was to pay off 10 mil would be a snip but 10 mil is alot of money to take a gamble so i'm stuck somewhere in the middle leaning towards buying him
                        RIP IRWT post/rant, best ever

Aye, same here - though we've taken enough multi-million pound gambles in the transfer market to last me a lifetime.

He's proven Premiership class, OK he's not match fit and hasn't been for 2 seasons, but form is temporary, class is permanent.
I'd say he's less of a gamble than someone who hasn't ever prospered in the Premiership.
