    Over-reaction? I think so

Really people cmon...get some perspective here. Its the frigging Carling Cup. Ive seen some knobhead calling for Rafa to be sacked on 6CM We played alot of youngsters, who dont look ready, but this is the perfect opportunity for them to play...a nothing competition. Sure they were shown up by the Arsenal youngsters, but it was bound to happen.

I had a feeling we would get smashed, and it turned out to be that way. Do i care? sort of...its not pretty to look at. But does it matter? no!

Why? because we have bigger things to worry about. namely Barca and catching Chelsea.

so sort your heads out and calm the **** down

I agree to a point but i'm worried our second eleven (it wasnt our kids out there) couldnt compete with a much younger and inexperienced Arsenal team.

your only saying that because we lost

you wouldn't be calling it that if we were playing against Chelsea in the Final.

we played a team to win it, we got stuffed

Any idiot calling for us to sack Rafa, could they please suggest who we could bring in that would be better?

Obviously the key thing now is how the players react. Hopefully they get this out of their system straight away

Dan, the difference is that almost all of Arsenal's starting XI today have played together the whole season for their reserve team. Our team hasn't played together that much.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Yes they were younger(and much better)but I bet there ain't that much difference in experience with a lot of the players.

                        Perspex...

Had a few minutes to clear my head now, and all said and done I think we still have a long way to go to prove we're one of the best.

Humiliated - yes, but these were two CUP matches.

We've got to stop thinking about the cups now, and get serious - this moment could be as important as Watford in the 1970 FA Cup (wait , we're at Vicarage Rd next ) and we need to have a rethink and quickly - so right now lets get over this and think about getting as far as we can up the table. Then come May hand out the p45's to ALL the deadwood, I swear some of the players in our squad aren't good enough for Tranmere or QPR. IF WE CAN'T SELL THEM - GIVE THEM AWAY!!

As for Rafa - he's an intelligent man and a good manager with the potential to be great, but he's got to look at himself on this one - RAFA, YOU BLEW IT. -Argentinian defenders do not work well in the English game unless they have speed alongside them.
-Villa and Newcastle are offering >£10m for Peter Crouch. Take the offer and get an Anelke-type forward to partner Kuyt.
-Give Dudek the transfer he's looking for and save Carson from oblivion.
-Get Joaquin/Alves/SWP/anyone better than Pennant for the right hand side.
-Get Sammy Lee back from that dump in Bolton, he's being wasted there and we need an old head who know the ways of the Bootroom in the days of Evans, Moran et al.

And enough of the lame post-match excuses - you're beginning to sound like a Spanish Houllier!!

Arsenal can celebrate all they want but a stronger team LOST TO SHEFFIELD UTD and Bolton are bbreathing on them this season, so CL is not guaranteed for them...

                        So Please Rafa - please!!
2nd in the League and CL Semi at least and as a whole we'll be going in the right direction.

we played a weak very weak back 4 and got battered.

so its only the Carling cup - NO its a home game

what worries me is we've been on a great run and got the fortrest Anfield back but conceed 9 goals in 2 games.
Just when we're got Chav's , bluenoses and scum comming for a visit.

We have a few weeks where its only one game a week.

we've played 20 odd games without serious injury so lets rest players to stop them getting injured and what happens.

Ok rest Finnan, but not Carra and Agger aswell.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

                              Overreaction?

Thats 5 competitive games against the top 3 clubs this season and 15, yes, 15 goals conceded! Arsenal have scored 12 against us in 3 f*cking games. 15 against, 4 for.

Am I right now when I say under Rafa against the top 3 clubs we've played 21, won just 4, lost 12 and drawn 9?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but an overreaction this is not.

THIS IS NOT A ONE OFF
