      no mate its just dull now. players with no talent can whack a ball and watch it swerve all over the shop and nestle in the back of the net. WOW thats amazing shout the commentators & the spectators under the age of 20. No actually thats what I used to do on the beach with those cheap footballs when I was a kid.

        I agree, to a large extent, with this.

        Long-rang goals aren’t that special anymore. They used to be, with a heavier ball, but now I’d say these ‘wonder-strikes’ from distances have more to do with pure luck than judgement.
