Nearly £3m a year in wages on one player is a lot for someone who is injury prone. Could be money better spent elswhere.

Any speculation at the moment is a bit pointless really isn't it? Lets see what he's like in the closing months of this season. If he shapes up then I see no harm in offering him a years extension to give him 2 years left to run (at a reduced wage of course). We all know that he can be a good player, and if his injuries are behind him, we can easy get 3 more years out of him.
I'd really like to see him do well, and I think Rafa sees him as an integral part of the team when fit, we certainly don't have anyone better than him at the moment anyway.Thomas Hicks Senior

In the World Cup he actually was very quick and almost 100% fit again.
I would give him a new deal if he is fit enough. He works his socks off every game for us and give our left side the balance we have missed this season.
Totally agree. He gives everything he has when he plays. Went through hell to play. I just wish he was here to help us run Chelsea into the ground next week. We need him.

His performance is the FA Cip Semi against Chelsea was nothing short of sensational, he ripped the cnuts apart that day, also that goal against Spurs cannot be forgotten and the assists he made last season also.Originally posted by Spionkop69 View PostHe didn't do anywhere near enough last season. A good player but will LFC ever see the best of him? I doubt it now.
He's a class act is Harry Kewell."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."
