The Mascherano saga has taken too long, what are the ****faces at the prem league doing ? Having bacon butties and watch porn all day.

So that's why they moved to Soho Square. More convenient for new supplies. It's certainly not what I had expected of Brian Barwick.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Apparently he stopped learning after getting the cold shoulder at West Ham.

I agree its pure rubbish but at least half the squad talk spanish.

As a parting gift from my employment perhaps I should send a postcard of the falklands for him to sign.

                So did I.

I was also wondering whether you had posted news.

The problem is this: they have now realised that they should not have approved the signings by West Ham. The hammers broke the rules. The punishment is that any matches that any of them have played must be voided.

If they do that, the hammers will take them to court and the whole season will end up being a legal issue.

Now if they give us the go ahead, having now known that they should not have approved it, it means that a precedent is set and the rule will become a farce.

The long and short of it is that they have messed up from day one due to their incompetence.

Personally, I do not think they will allow the signing, hammers will be relegated, the relegated teams that have not played the hammers will sue as some other teams will get extra 3 pts and 2 goals, season 2007/08 will not start till December 07.

Liverpool and West Ham sweat over legality of Mascherano deal

                    Matt Scott and Mark Walker
                    Thursday February 15, 2007
                    The Guardian

Liverpool may have to wait until next week before a decision is reached over the legality of Javier Mascherano's loan move from West Ham United.

The Premier League's legal department is poring over details of the contracts between the Argentina international and his representatives to investigate whether there has been any breach of the Premier League's regulations over player ownership. Sources claim that so complex are the reams of paperwork that the league is not ready to announce its verdict and might not be in a position to do so until next week.

That should not concern Liverpool unduly, since they have no match this weekend following their third-round exit from the FA Cup to Arsenal. But it would extend West Ham's worries.

The relegation-threatened Upton Park club are not currently under investigation. However, if any transfer documents are found to have been withheld or falsified in Mascherano and Carlos Tevez's original moves to West Ham, it is expected that club officials will be interviewed.

Paul Aldridge, Terry Brown - the former chief executive and chairman who are no longer with the club - and the current deputy chief executive, Scott Duxbury, would be approached along with Kia Joorabchian, who fronts the syndicate that is associated with the two Argentina internationals. Certain rival Premiership clubs have called for an immediate probe and for points to be docked from West Ham.

In a circular last week, all 20 Premiership clubs were asked by the league to provide details of any player ownership structures that might contain perceived infractions of competition rules. The responses will also be considered after the legal department has dealt with Mascherano's move to Anfield.

The Leeds United chief executive, Shaun Harvey, has suggested the player responsible for leaking team news to Crystal Palace before Saturday's Championship match may not be sacked after all. Following their 2-1 home victory over Palace Dennis Wise, the Leeds manager, vowed that the culprit would never play for the club again.

But Harvey has since revealed that the club do not know who the player was and, while Wise has again appealed for the person responsible to step forward, there appears to be a softening in the club's stance. "Our manager spoke to the players on their return to training on Monday and reiterated what is expected of them," said Harvey. "He gave everyone the opportunity to come forward and, if anyone does, the club will take the appropriate action and take into account whether the passing on of the information was malicious or naive, direct or indirect."

Harvey confirmed that Peter Taylor, the Palace manager, informed Wise that Leeds' team news had been passed on to him at lunchtime on Saturday.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

They could deduct points from WHU without awarding them to anyone else.
That way no-one could argue its unfair (apart from WHU) and one club, who might otherwise have been relegated could get lucky.

What gets me is that the FA only had to read the papers to know they had to investigate the transfer on this basis from the off. It's just unbelievably slack.
