    poor old west ham

'The decision to dock AFC Wimbledon 18 points for fielding an ineligible player has put the FA under the spotlight to adopt the same draconian standards with struggling West Ham. FA rules on the fielding of ineligible players state categorically that a club 'shall be deducted' the number of points they gained while the laws were being breached'

This was burried in a sporting life article today. It's the first quotes from the premier league that i've read about when we might hear something:

While Liverpool are in Portugal, they can expect to hear the outcome of their loan move for Argentinian midfielder Javier Mascherano.

The decision to allow the deal has been delayed for almost a fortnight by a Premier League probe, but it is believed nothing irregular has been discovered with the move.

League spokesman said: "You can expect a decision by the end of the week."

He also insisted Liverpool's move for Mascherano is in no way linked with the investigation being mounted into joint-owned players, with West Ham at the centre of that probe.

All 20 Premiership clubs had until today to furnish the league with details of any similar deals.

Looks like they were waiting for the deadline today before commenting on when a Javier decision is to be made.

          I don't hear laughter.

It must be one of yours.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

It really doesn't matter when we get the decision this week. We don't have a game until we play Barca.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

FIFA cleared him to play for us so I believe he can play against Barca regardless of what the prem league say.He is our player and only requires clearance from them for league games. He played for West Ham in the Uefa cup but it appears this does not affect his eligibilty for the Champions league.

I think the deal between ourselves and West Ham is conditional upon him being able to play in the PL though. Not sure where I saw that but it would seem to make sense.

We should hear from the FA before the end of the world.

Hopefully he will be able to play for our Masters team at worst.
