bit harsh on wayne, it was injuries rather than being crap that curtailed his career

Didn't Hooper sign in the 80's?
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

.... yep - quite prepared to be corrected, just have a recollection that perhaps he didn t live up to those that had come before .

There were so few signings that didn t work out its hard to find the duds - what do people recall of Michael Robinson and David Hodgson s contributions ?

Robinson never had a chance really, behind rushy and kenny.as for hodgson....cant remember again a forward so cant really remember him getting to much a look in.

Howard Gayle should have done better than he did.

we only used to have such a small squad back then and they hardly got a look in fron the first squad. Cant even rememember who was back upto Lawrensen and hansen?

you forget he was there for a couple of seasons before he came a regular. Ah the good old days of players having to wait for the first team opportunities

No I was saying he was their backup. Gillespie was an excellent player but Hansen/Lawro very rarely missed a game.
