You could add Cisse to that in terms of contributing to the team.

Crouch in the Liverpool team is valuable. Fact.

That's not the point. We were asked to nominate worse LFC strikers than Crouch in the last two decades. Saunders, indisputably, is one of them.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I remember being VERY excited about signing Deano. Transfer record, goals galore for Oxford and Derby....never quite came off for him, but he was a decent player.

I always liked him until he scored for Villa against us after he left and proceeded to celebrate like he'd won the world cup. Then, I read an interview in a magazine with him about 2/3 years ago where he claimed "Aston Villa are a bigger club than Liverpool."

            Bitter fool.

How can he have said that with a straight face?

              Current team?
              History?
              Money spent?
              Crowds?
              Trophies won?
              Stadium?

There isn't one area where that even looks close to being true.

              Daft cnut.

He said it whilst he was Souness' assistant at Blackburn too, so it's not as if he had any overhwelming allegiance to Villa at the time.

                As I say, bitter fool.

Stewart was bought as a midfielder and that's where he played.

                          What a very poor effort.

                            Stewart was a midfielder. Apparently.

Rosenthal wasn't bad. He came cheap, did ok.

Crouch cost £7M, and scored 7 league goals.

Ronnie scored that in about 7 games, and helped us win our last title.

                              Spot the difference.

Not sure Riedle did too much - although injury more put pay to that.
