This from Dave Usher, The Liverpool Way:
I've got to be careful what I say here, as some things I have been told but
have to keep quiet about, for now at least. It's probably for the best,
because you probably wouldn't believe them anyway and those that did would
be looking to lynch Parry and especially Moores.
What I will say is that Parry and Moores have really put themselves in a
****ed up position here. They were letting people know that they weren't
interested in Gillett, and DIC was the perfect option for us etc.
Then, Gillett comes in with an offer that was significantly bigger than
DIC's, and suddenly the 'concerns' they have about him disappear. Amazing
what an extra £8m in your bank will make you overlook. They then try to tell
people that Moores has some reservations about DIC's offer, and that Gillett
may actually be the best option for the club. What actually happened was DIC
pulled out because Moores decided their offer wasn't big enough.
They told us (by feeding off the record comments to the press) DIC was the
best option, and they weren't interested in Gillett so why should we now
believe that they are acting in the best interests of the club?
This is the biggest decision in the history of the club. The question is,
how many people actually trust Parry and Moores to get this right?
I don't, I think they're ****ing with the club's future, and this could end
in tears. More so David Moores than Rick Parry to be fair, as ultimately
Parry doesn't make the final decision.
I don't want that Gillett anywhere near my club, and I don't trust David
Moores as far as I could ****ing throw him.
I'm so pissed off about this, as things are going great on the pitch, but
these two ****ing clowns could unstablise everything. ****ing incompetant
morons.
Steve Morgan should go public now and tell everyone exactly what has gone
on. If the truth comes out, you'll have a different view of David Moores.
