it's "unprofessional" for LFC's shareholders to consider a higher offer the club?

or is it just plain annoying for them that someone else thinks we're worth more than they do?

DIC, Gillet or anyone else who buys into top level football now stands to make a ****load of cash over the next 3 years and beyond

so excuse us if don't just flog our club just because we let you have a look at our books. it took you long enough to go through it- why was that? thorough or just making sure that we are as profitable as you'd hoped from the outside?

there's a reason why DM and RP have backed away from DIC and considered the new bid from Gillet. None of us know what it is so we'll just ahve to wait

all this "the board are imbeciles" and the american xenophobia (as well as a few sweeping statements about arabs) is an absolute disgrace imo not just to liverpool fans but any decent human being
    Good post that man

I wonder if Gillett has someone else to back him up?

Something must have happened since the first time he entered the picture. Our board wasn't interested then but they are now and the price hasn't changed.

They have known the price that Gillett would offer for weeks but have not said anything. Surely they would have said something sooner than today. The £450m DIC was prepared to pay hasn't exactly been a secret.

The price £500m has been in the papers for weeks, so what has happened?
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

So stop complaining, not only did they make a statement but it was longer than you predicted by a good few words.

To my mind a lot of fans wanted DIC to complete the takeover because then the takeover saga would be at an end.

I don't know who is a better suitor for the club - DIC (based on their statements) seem like LFC fans, whereas Gillett seems like more of a businessman.

But does that make one more suitable to take over Liverpool Football Club than the other ?

once again LFC act with absolute class by revealing nothing, criticising nobody in public and maintaining its own counsel

we are far from unprofessional. We did not reveal publicly that we had a board meeting last night.

we ar eliverpool and we've got more class than these other ****ers who think that cause they have a few billion they can push people around

It sounds like Mr. Gillett simply wants it more.

No ground share, new stadium out of him own pocket, money for players and he only took three days on the diligence part.

There must have been something in the final bid from DIC that Moors did not like.

                      carrism good post

nows not the time to be going mental on an internet forum when lets face it
as fans we know **** all of whats going on

so ...this american fella he's gone from being practically dismissed by the club

to putting an improved offer by 500 more a share, a significant rise in anyones books and completing due diligence in just 3 days?

and now appears to be in the front seat when it comes to taking over the club.how the **** did that happen/
was it a simple case of money talks?

the one thing that would bother me about an american or any other new owner is thay have to understand the way the club is run.
WE DO NOT WANT someone like the new fella at west ham sitting there shaking his head for the cameras like a ****.
Parry is a clown. En Rafa que confiamos

                          Interesting, to say the least.
I had a good feeling about the DICs, but some one here were probably way too optimistics IMO.
So Gillett is the one now, DIC were the one last week.
Remeber there was reports about a problem weeks ago, this didn`t just happend over night.
The problem seems to be that after a due diligence the buyers cools their interest.

Yes you are right, we shouldn't conduct our business in public and I understand how the club works but you can also understand why fans are concerned about these sudden developments when the club have spent the past month selling the DIC bid to us.

It looks like DIC came in with a lower offer than they had originally offered and are trying to low ball the shareholders after getting the fans on their side.

As for conducting due diligence in 3 days, that doesn't impress me it concerns me.

I've thought about this..not in great detail but I've thought about it.

Gillett offered something that made Moores and Parry sit up and take notice.
Parry said that DIC's bid would take us to the next level

So what if this Gillette bid is as good as DIC as in being able to take us to the next step.

Look at West Ham. 80m injection and they have strengthened significantly.

So far I only see a few things people have against Gillette.

They dont see him as rich as Sheik Mo.
                                He's american
He's supposed to have suggested a groundshare...which since has been poo pooed.

He'll take over now, thats for me is a certainty..well as close as it can get. I think we should wait and see what comes out of the next few days.

The bid must be better for LFC or simply they wouldnt have taken interest in the bid.

                                In my opinion.
