Everton manager David Moyes was not happy with Benitez's comments.

"I would not say that about any football club anywhere," said the Everton boss."

Of course he wouldn't. There aren't any teams smaller than Neverton.

Of course we kept it shut when Moyes arrived a few years back, and only having beeen there 5 minutes started that "Peoples Club" nonsense.

And they've issued a statement on their website. Pathetic.

How's it an excuse? It was an observational statement of fact.

Exactly. I'm also have no idea what Rafa did wrong yesterday. We were playing 2-3-5 for half the game.

Also those comments from Rafa re Neverton were classic, but what about the reaction, ****ing hilarious, looks like he struck a nerve. They are small time and they know it.
He did a similar thing just before the Bolton game. And it seemed to work, because they didnt play their normal, thuggish way. They tried to adapt to something they couldnt do. And we ****ted them.

            Spot on gaffer.

What I absolutely find hilarious is comments like on Teamtalk and from morons like Kamara on Goals on Sunday that Rafa live to regret these comments

I was replying to the lad who mentioned the potential impact the comments may have on future visitors to Anfield.

Of course no one has picked up on the comments supposedly made by the luvvie Kenwright after the game - was commented on, on Radio City after the game - along the lines of; 4 points against them is a good season.

Sums them up really. Perhaps we should make a statement on our website...:whatever:

They are laughable, they really are. Everything they do reinforces their small-time status. When they're not sending videos to the FA complaining that they don't get enough penalties or releasing DVDs of their relegation exploits they're obsessing about us. Even this "People's Club" bollocks they revel in is supposed to be a dig at us yet only serves to emphasise the gulf between our status as a global force and theirs as a mediocre mid-table club.

Exactly. When was the last time they won a trophy? Oh and that's a rhetorical question!

12 years and counting this year. Big club my ass, even mediocre is stretching it a bit...

Because I recall a certain Liverpool manager, who is considered a legend and has a statue in his honour outside our stadium, saying amongst other things about Everton that he would draw the curtains if they were playing in his garden, that Dixie Dean had more people at his funeral than Everton get on a Saturday, and that there are only two great teams in Liverpool: Liverpool and Liverpool Reserves.
Great post. Sometimes its hard to break a team down when they have 9 or 10 players in the penalty box defending.
"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.
