To get 2£ m for him in todays market is laughable but ain't complaining cos it's money coming in to LFC.
He's hardly the worst signing. Especially since we quadrupled our money.

The goal line clearance in the CL final was worth a lot more than £500,000k

Ultimately, not good enough, but gave it his best.

Don't know how anyone can look past Diouf as the worst signing Ged made, personally. Contributed **** all for £10M and is a little gob****e to boot.

Couldn't agree more. As I said in the Traore thread yesterday, I will be eternally grateful for his goal-line clearance from Shevchenko.

      Wish him well.

His concentration level is not very good. One game springs to mind is the Charlton game at Anfield where he slipped unchallenged outside his 18 yard box and we conceded a goal.
As I said he is NOT LFC material. Good luck to him all the same.

ps: Can anyone drive him to London ?
i agree with you that he was bad, extremely bad infact. i just don't think he was as bad as some of GH' worst signings.

you're also right that he's not LFC material.

i also think that getting £2,000,000 is a mastertroke by the club.

They paid £2M because of the new contract he signed with us last year...

I always supported him - he never whined about being left out of the team and never complained about getting enough first team oppurtunities - he always gave 100%, even though that didn't quite hit the mark sometimes.

I wish him well at Charlton and wherever he goes on from there.

Don't forget he fouled for the free kick which led to madini's first goal.

Are we sure its us that does not have to pay the £2m to Charlton ?

I'll never forget him picking the ball up, and Gerrard running 40yds to take it off him....

I'm sorry but he was ****.......

Did we not pay £1m for Daniel Sjolund aswell?

Good grief I forgot all about him. Didn't he come as part of the Rigobert Song deal? Or did we give them Song PLUS a million quid for Sjolund?

Faye, 29, has signed from Newcastle, while 26-year-old Traore has made the move from Liverpool, with Charlton paying £2m for each player.

"We're delighted to have made two quality signings, and they will both improve our first team squad," said Charlton coach Iain Dowie.

"We are also working very hard on several other signings."

Faye was signed for Newcastle by former boss Graeme Souness 19 months ago for a fee in the region of £2m.

But current Magpies boss Glenn Roeder revealed that with so many midfield players in his squad he was happy for Faye to sign for another Premiership club.

"He hasn't given me any problems whatsoever," Roeder told the Newcastle website.

"I just felt that with the midfielders we have at the club, it was best not to stand in his way with him being offered the chance of more regular football.

"He was at our game with Villarreal at the weekend, and before he went down to London I wished him all the best for when the transfer went through."
That's good news an extra 2mill and his wages which I think were quite high are gone.

2 million for a player widely ridiculed by Liverpool supporters...a masterstroke by Rick Parry in my opinion...

So, where are the Parry critics now??
