That was the pits, as far as Traore is concerned. If I remember rightly, that game provided the first piece of evidence that Djimi's head was actually shaped like a fifty pence piece.
I am also right in thinking he conceded a penalty that day too?

He did, but do you remember the sly glance he took? I'm sure he had a little peep at what was going on...through a few fingers maybe, but once he realised he'd landed us right in it, he bowed his head again.

Classic Traore comedy. "Oh I can smile about it now but at the time it was terrible..."

He made the odd good tackle here and there but overall nowhere close to LFC calibre.
To get 2£ m for him in todays market is laughable but ain't complaining cos it's money coming in to LFC.
Yeah but all that was forgiven with his clearance of the line in CL final.

I wouldn't say he was the worst signing but definately the most mistake prone.

It's somewhat unfair to Ferri given that he was hardly given a chance. Despite his collection of comical howlers, Traore was given more than a decent chance to prove himself (by both managers).

At the end, it was his penchant for mistakes at inopportune times that proved his downfall. No one can deny this. Absolutely no one. He made far too many mistakes that 'cost us the game'. If I can be bothered, I am sure I can come up with a pretty impressive list. And there are other howlers that did not 'cost us the game'. Take that Benfica home game for example. Two goals we conceded were not his fault per se, but his overall performance was one of the most inept I had seen from a professional footballer.

Having said this, he always tried hard and I commend him for this. I wish him the best at Charlton Athletic and I will try to remember him for the goal-line clearance at the Champions League...
