Well the Depor fans seem to think he's a bit of a star, and it'd be ace if he turned out as good as they say he is. I'd still go for Richards though, given that Finnan is only ever going to get steadily worse. Richards has everything Rafa likes in a player - power, pace, athleticism and versatility (possibilities).

It's not something I've thought about to be honest but it's a fair point. You just have to look at what Nando's doing now to see that. He was ****e for us but has a ratio of 1 a game for Valencia.

I guess we'll see this week how Villa does for Spain against England. I know that's not a clear indication that he would settle here but it definitely should show if he could cope with the English style of play.

The problem we have is that there are very few top class strikers around at the moment that arent already at a top club, and the ones that are at "smaller clubs" i.e Villa (ok valencia arent small, but i mean teams that challenge for trophies) and huntelaar are all wanted by madrid, barca, chelsea and man untied aswell.

I honestly cant see us with a torres or a villa. maybe a chance of huntelaar

I agree with you Dan. We need a right winger who can beat his man and put in good crosses. Maybe a new left back. Maybe a new left winger if Kewell won't be fit enough. One or two new strikers. That's only 2-5 players.

I reckon we only need another keeper, a right back, a left back, one or two more centre backs, a left winger, a right winger and maybe a couple of strikers to provide more competition. So, in summary, we're OK in the middle of the park...
