If you'll excuse the oxymoronic phrase, the Millenium stadium is a perfect example of a traditional yet modern stadium.

Everything else about it is bang on, so the horrible big screens dont make me cringe so much.

EVERYTHING about the Emirates is wrong.

Has the original plans got a seperate stand for the Kop? Again alot of the atmosphere will be lost if its just a big bowl
Under the current application, there is no room for a running track, we wont get one either, so id relax on that one, considering we are starting in 60 odd days.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

              * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I thought I heard Hicks mention that he was going to review the inside layout of the structure.

Or was I smoking crack again while reading my scientology books?

If they're starting building in 60 days, Hicks and Gillett are going to have to be pretty ****ing hasty if they want a say on the interior design of the stadium.

Then again, they did complete due diligence in a mere three days, so Hicks will probably rattle off a little sketch of the new stadium tonight, and everything will be sorted in the morning.

They're not going to start BUILDING in 60 days, Gillett said he wanted to see a shovel in the ground within the next 60 days or so. He said you're doing to see a big swimming pool structure in Stanley Park pretty soon.
Clearly, the interior is the last thing which needs finalising

It's been debated to death in another thread about the stadium and the answer is 'no', they cannot make fundamental changes to the stadium design without re-applying for planning permission which would set the project back years. Both Hicks and Gillett like the new design and were impressed by the Emirates Stadium last week.

I think the only improvements they will want to see for the Ronald McDonald Anfield Stadium is in the quality of the materials and facilities to make it a "world class fan experience"...

they have to start in 60 days to keep the grants they have been given
