mmmmm........we know they don't know anything about football - they have admitted that and we know they are not Liverpool fans - they have admitted that also.Originally posted by SouthAfricaRed View PostI disagree
It shows they really wanted the club for other than pure business reasons.
I also see that our debt is now down to 48 million
Liverpool is a soundly run business. Moores might not have had the financial clout to take us to the next level, but He ran the club well and always made sound business decisions. The only thing lacking was that the marketing of the Liverpool Brand has not been what it should be. That will hopefully be sorted out now
If you discount those reason then I'm not sure why else you would buy the club unless it was for business reasons - not necessarily a bad thing, however, if that is the case I want a ****ing brilliant businessman and not one who rushes through due dillegence and then offers way over the odds for the shares.....
it just seems like there are loads of contradictions.
Me and Dhavlos could well be wrong and I hope we are.

[QUOTE=SouthAfricaRed;278539] I also see that our debt is now down to 48 million
/QUOTE]
The debt was never what was being bandied about anyway, advance season ticket sales of remaining matches is obviously a "debt" to be repaid on the balance sheets, a liability of course, but not real debt if you follow.
Same things with players wages and contracts and transfers to be paid etc, it prob boils down to only actually owing the banks the reported debt.

I hope they're there for the Barca home game. And I hope we're level or 1-0 down. Because what they see, hear and feel will be unlike anything they've ever experinced in their entire lives. They may have been to Quebec or wherever, but they've never been to Liverpool on a European night. I wonder what the theme will be wfor the Kop's next flag day?
P.S. And I hope we go-on to play like the Harlem Globetrotters!
