What about exiled scousers who are living down south who have been going for years? A strategy like that has so many pitfalls and would only serve in driving people away.

Locals make the club great but out of towners help it tick over. I can gurantee that if oot's never attended matches then we wouldn't sell Anfield out for quite a few matches each season.

The Club should be looking to invite fans from all areas and walks of life in, especially with the new stadium on the way, without oot's there would be no need for the new stadium.
It's only an idea. I agree with most of what you say but if prices go up considerably you'll see the Chelsea effect. Did you know their season ticket allocation is 1000 unsubscribed (ie no waiting list whatsoever). I don't like the idea of a price hike but I think it's coming.

To be honest, I haven't done a survey.

I can't believe that though - it's impossible to get a season ticket and I bet most holders were either born or live in Liverpool and have had the tickets for years (possibly passed down to them).

The demand for tickets (i.e. people who want one but can't get one) is far greater outside of Liverpool, I reckon

Too many OOTs, should we stop going then

Local kids should get tix dirt cheap and more tix should be available to buy from the window. That's the best move for me.

I like the idea of having specific prices for areas of the stadium. The closer to the pitch the more you pay, the further away the less etc... That would be the sensible thing to do IMHO and people would at least have a choice.

I would hate to have the Chelsea effect but I would like to think that wouldn't happen in our case due to the already excellent fan base that the club already has.

No, but the balance is all wrong.

A lot of tickets should be available from the ticket office for EVERY game, enabling local folk to pick up tickets more easily.

Maybe if you Out of Towners were real fans you'd move nearer to Anfield like Pete Sampara did. That way you'd keep your travel costs to a minimum and the club could charge you part-timers more for tickets...

I'm an OOT and i strongly believe the locals should not be priced out... its a working class club.

Despite the fact it's usually ~ £200+ a game for me anyway inc. drinks. Making the tickets £20 more wont effect me at all.

So it would possibly be OK for OOTers. OK, but wrong.

Sadly, some of us had to take Norman Tebbitt's advice literally and get on our bikes to seek work. It's called economic migration, RP...
