Well, no but....that's like comparing apples and yellow. Pointless.
Alves is ****ing ace and we must sign him.
I know but as kurt said, every player we're linked to is "probably the best player in...." according to LF Clove. So I just wanted to point out that he probably isn't better than Ronaldinho.
I'm sure LF Clove writes the slogans for Carlsberg.
Anyway, yellow is better than apples.

. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
We had our chance in the summer but we missed the boat I'm afraid. He'll go elsewhere for silly money now.
I think we've got a bigger chance than ever of getting him now, its obvious Rafa really wants to sign him and with the extra money I think we will. Despite how good he is I dont think many clubs will be queing up to pay £18m (Supposedly his release clause) for a right back. I think we would if we have the money.

After yesterday alot of teams will be lining up for him.
Would he not take a huge chunk out of our transfer funds now to get him? Alves or a striker as top transfer?, could we really afford both, and would getting 2 top huge money transfers really solve our problems, or is that doing a chelsea and just throwing money at the problem?
There's no disputing that Alves was head and shoulders the best player on the park last night - and from RIGHT-BACK, too. He's fantastic. Yes he feigned injury again - that was pitiful - but, frankly, with performances like that I'd take him any day and hope Rafa, Carra et al drummed that ****e out of him.
Alves is a class act. AFII was right - he totally dominated last night's game, which is remarkable for a full-back. But he does it time and time again.
