So you were listening to all those Owen arguements, all those years....

Bellamy is good but Kuyt offers more. Neither are world beaters though but it would be wrong to be overly critical when we have non existent left wingers, a crap left back and an inconsistent right winger.

As I always say, he's their equivalent to Carra - everybody connected to his club thinks he's ace, yet he's hideously under-appreciated by everybody else. Most non Reds I know think Carra is ****. Says it all really.

I said he was overrated, not ****, ok?

And I don't see why you bring this Carra thing into the case.
If Carra is underrated has nothing to do with Puyol. As far as I know they are two different individuals.

The difference between Bellamy and a fit Owen is that Owen is better in the box and is more clever on the pitch.

Bellamy is the better team player and works harder.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Because it's so easy to draw parallels - they're both local boys, through the ranks, loved by the fans yet slated by 'outsiders'.

Parallel or not, your Carra argument doesn't back your stance on Puyol since he is a different player....Imo.

It does, IMO, cos if you went on many other forums and saw a discussion about Carra, you'd get people saying he's overrated. And it'd annoy most Reds, cos we know better. We know his worth given that we see him every week, and these other clowns don't.

Barca fans would be the same re Puyol.

I also think they're similar types of defender - they'd both 'run through brick walls', both love defending. So many similarities.

                  They have totally different hair.
                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Bellamy and Kuyt will probably be the only ones of our current striking crop left here next season.

Let's just hope that Bellers tears him a new one at the Nou Camp.

I reckon we'll play 4-5-1 with Bellamy alone up front against Barca.

                            I think so as well.

And Rafa said Riise's foul on Taylor was a stupid tackling attempt, or something in that vein, about the peno he gave up yesterday.
I think a new left back is very much possible.

Bellers is better because he's the only one who plays in attack in our squad. Crouch and Kuyt are never playing as CF - they're AM...

Not sure. Rafa likes to use Crouch in Europe as he seems to think they have no idea how to defend against him.
