He'll get one last chance to save his career, assuming he gets fit again this season.

He's never been a consistent performer - ask any Leeds fan. We've got 4 of them at work and more than 1 of them told me when we bought him, he'd only play well when he felt like it or when playing for a contract. Sadly they've been proved right -and he's had little chance to prove them wrong with so many injuries.

Tend to agree with that, just hope theres a grain of truth in the Spurs rumour.
Would be a large brucie bonus if we could get 3m+ for him

Kewell was more or less 100% in the WC last summer. He showed then how good he can be.

I think that Rafa will give him a new deal if he can stay fit the rest of this season. A fit Kewell is one of the best left wingers out there.

He took all this time off because he wanted to fix the problem for good. Kewell gives our team a much better balance than we have now.

He may not be as good as before but he is still a very good player.

          I wouldn't sell him.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

This is turning into another Harry Kewell not good enough, injury prone, blah blah blah.

He's just getting back from a couple of operations that could spell the end of his injury problems. Lets just give him a chance till the end of the season and if he holds up, then he gets a good pre-season behind him and our left side problem is solved for next season.

Pointless to sell him and for only 3mil, it's not like we need the cash is it?

How can the possibility of recouping £3m be considered pointless??

Talented player, but with his run of injuries, £3m would be tempting. There's a time to cut your losses.

when you have 2 rich chairmen, unless he buys big for the left hand side. but think right is first and cant see us changing both wings in the summer

We could have done with Kewell yesterday....our left side was totally inept.

Hopefully he'll be back in the next few weeks and show his worth to the side.

Just because we’ve got two rich chairman who are worth a few bob it doesn’t mean that we should ever refuse £3m for a player who is injury prone. IMHO I don’t think he’s in Rafa’s long term plan, therefore I can’t see him getting another contract. So would you rather recoup the money now or let him go on a free next summer?

Let’s not forget that HK is on a £60,000 pound a week contract, which if my sums are correct that’s over £3m a year. So add that on to a £3m fee and it would work out as a saving/profit of around £6m for LFC.

Kewell is back in full training, and I would expect to see him play at some stage in the next two or three weeks.

Essentially, he's got from now until the end of the season to prove to Rafa there is any value whatsoever, in keeping him on the books for next season.

I can't believe there's such negativity surrounding Kewell's impending return. If his return to fitness means ****ing Zenden never plays on the left for us again then it can only be a good thing.

We all know Zenden is ****e though Shaggy, his crap performances elicit very little genuine emotion from me.

But Harry Kewell, was once an exceptionally gifted, world class, footballer, and that breeds frustration, sadness and anger amongst the fans.

There is a tiny part of me that is hoping, praying and expecting Kewell to miraculously return to his 'Leeds form'.

                              *sigh*

I understand that mate but frustration or no frustration, Kewell offers us so much more on the left flank than the seemingly fat, paceless Zenden. All he does is give away free kicks.
