Harry Kewell is a genuinely world class talent, i'd be gutted to see him go,
i just wish he had a bit a luck with injuries. Poor bloke.

At the end of the day Shaggy, neither Zenden nor Kewell are good enough for Liverpool.

        Oh, I agree...

Dont get me wrong, I'd take a gamble with Kewell's fitness over Aurelio, Zenden, Gonzalez or any other of our injury prone, cut-price, pretty average alternatives on the left flank.

In my head, I've penciled in the Sheff Utd game for Kewell's return.

Looks around the corner, nope, can't see a World Cup on the horizon, I doubt then that HK will be that interested either.

Elisha Scott on YNWA.tv posted about 9 months ago that Kewell's hernia operation was a Total failure. Apparently it takes about half an hour to strap him up before training to enable him to play.

If it's that Bad, I cant see him passing a Medical for a Transfer

But his recent operations were only in november/december time, so whatever was said 9 months ago pretty much nothing to do with it.

Did they operate on the Hernia though? Or on his Septic Foot?

Okay so he comes back later this month and plays well between now and the end of the season, stays injury free gets a few assists and a few goals, feels good and he's having a good pre-season. Then spurs come knocking with 3m, you'd tell them to get to f*ck wouldn't you?

What's the point in debating whether to sell him without knowing if he's going to be good or not when he comes back.

He had 3 operations, think it was hernia, groin, foot

Thanks. I wasnt sure what operations he had. I knew they would have to on foot. Hopefully his problems are really sorted now and that he will regain the pace that made him the player that terrified defenders

If your scenario was to be true and HK came back and played well, then Rafa might well knock back a £3m bid for him, but I can’t see him coming back and playing well enough that we could refuse that sort of money for him.

The only reason were debating selling him is because Spurs have apparently shown an interest in signing the player.

Thing is aswell if he gets crocked again Spurs aren't going to fork out 3mil for him either, so its strange debate really. If he's fit he's fit and he'll play, if he's not fit then he'll still be here in our treatment room.

Knowing how ruthless Rafa is I would not be surprised if Kewell is sold in the summer if he could not prove his fitness for the remainder of the season. Shame cos I had high hopes for HK.

i dont think he will be offered another contract and i also think he is past his best, but i hope he can get over this injury nightmare and get back playing full time. he can still make a contribution in football but im not convinced its at the heights we need to be playing
