He also operated his hip.Originally posted by Morphorino View PostHe had 3 operations, think it was hernia, groin, footJust believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He'd make a great 4th striker.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

why do people persist in talking so much ****e?
1. No one here, or their respective "contacts" knows Kewell personally. So all this crap about him "being bothered" to play is garbage. He always gives 100% on the pitch. What he chooses to do in his private life is his business.
2. If he was considered surplus to our squad Rafa would've been rid of him ages ago. It's not like we had anything to gain by keeping him around...................UNLESS HE WAS GOOD!
3. Injuries happen. Usually to the best players. Whether that is down to bad luck, or that they spend more hours on the pitch, or that they play harder and are therefore susceptible to more injuries, I don't know. But when Kewell was injured he was never given the time to recover originally. He has that luxury now. He's 27? and has a few good years left if managed correctly. There are not many left wingers out there with his all round ability. FFS, the real Ronaldo was out for ages with his various niggles yet every ****in team worth a toss wanted him AND they payed top dollar, injury prone or not. I'd still take him if he wanted to come, cos players like that are as rare as hens teeth. They will make the difference in a big game. Harry Kewell is one of those players....WORLD CLASS. I know it, he knows it and Benitez knows it. If we said tomorrow that Kewell was not wanted we'd have every team in the EPL plus a bunch from Italy, Germany and Spain fighting over him like seagulls over a hot chip.
Unless he contracts leprosy and his feet fall off, I would rather him here than not. For 3.2 million squid, Jol or anyone else for that matter can get ****ed. Hazza is worth 10 times that.
Rant over.Me Scuzi!

How can you describe HK as WORLD CLASS, even when he was at his best at Leeds he could only be described as Premiership class in my opinion.Originally posted by Welhung View Postwhy do people persist in talking so much ****e?

So your saying that he’s now worth £32m then? And there’s a possibility that the likes of Chelsea/Arsenal/Mancs/AC Milan/Barcelona/Bayern Munich will all be after him this summer?

He is 28, turning 29 in Sept. He is also useless (and over-rated) and over-paid for the little he has shown.Originally posted by Welhung View Post3. Injuries happen. Usually to the best players. At 28 and the wages he is on, we are better off cutting our looses then trying to manage yet another injury of his.
Let him go to spurs for free, just have them pay 100% of his wages and I will be happy.

Is right. Leeds fans always said he was so inconsistent. One day he'd play like a world beater (usually when the match was live on TV) and the next he'd have a stinker.Originally posted by Cacodemon View PostPeople that drool over the Leeds player Harry Kewell, never watched him for 90 mins. FACT.
We'd probably say the same except I don't think he's ever played two matches in a row for us...
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.
