A chunk of this thread was cut by a mod into another one which is in the trash currently. Initially it was just locked as below;

Petty name calling bull****, generalisations about SCM posters, and spats that dullard playground children would be proud of. Locking it so it can die in peace.

Then the mod decided to attempt to resurrect it and only remove the completely off topic and fatuous squabbling. If a couple of on-topic posts were lost in doing so that's unfortunate, we'll look and see if anything should be restored, but some of it was a bit pathetic really.

Well, I'd hoped there wasn't either. But one of your boys started lambasting another (I think it was ElRobbie) for saying he'd have *insert list of strikers here* over Crouch, and then started wading in with the "**** off to 6 cock smoking monkeys" jibes.

I began my post by saying it was a bit weird that he had such a bee in his bonnet, as anyone who frequents 6CM will know that there are a number of posters all too eager to leap to the defence of the big man anytime someone launches a tirade against him.

I then went on to say that IMO he had the blinkers on, as most sane fans would have had a number of those (very classy) players over Crouchy, as although he's a very good player, his limitations are there for everyone to see.

I didn't get personal, I gave a reasoned and thought out debate, and I thought I made a fairly sound point.

I'm not gonna get into an us vs them argument, cos it's playground ****. We have some of your boys over at our place and for the most part they're genial, well-behaved and respectful. We try and conduct ourselves in the same manner.

However, while I'm not gonna get into a slanging match with anyone, if people are making unfounded accusations then I am gonna challenge that to a certain degree. Like I said before, not everyone at 6CM has the same opinions as Ryan or Brendan, not everyone is a Crouch-basher or Crouch-lover. It's a mixture, and that's the way things should be.

Why there was a need to launch into (rather puerile) name-calling, I'm not too sure, but at the end of the day - we're all reds here aren't we? Yes, there's always gonna be the occasional *ahem* 'personality clash' between individuals, and it's not set down in law that everyone must get on . . .

But it seems a touch unnecessary to try and cause tension between fellow fans on different forums (note the lack of use of the word 'rival') - it got a bit out of hand last night, and in cleaning up the mess my post got lost.

That's fair enough, needs must.

Which I suppose is a bit like a toned down version of "**** off to the Redcafe" comments we've all seen before. (That's on *any* Liverpool forum, before you ask).

I guess my wording may have come across a little strangely, but I suppose I do think of myself as a '6CMer' - it's where I spend most of my time, it's where most of the people I know are at. While I do like coming over here and having a lurk, I don't really have that much input into the place and so therefore don't really feel a 'part' of it I guess.

Please don't let my inferior terminology distract you from the more important point - I'm not here to clash heads or compare cock-sizes. We all follow the same team, we're all on the same side.

I don't preach intolerance, but I will challenge it.

It's that arrogant, pathetic attitude that causes people to tell them to **** off back to 6CM. Then later in the thread he says "I'm entitled to my opinion".

He, like Ryan and Brendan have ABSOLUTELY no respect for other people's opinion unless it's the same as theirs.
That's what got my back up, not this one occasion but the repeated offences.
They all frequent 6CM, whether that's just coincidence or not I don't know but it is a regular feature and very tiresome.
