I'm sure he is a nice bloke but... he can't head a ball, can't jump without giving away a foul and he cant tackle. He is becoming more of an England player than a Liverpool player.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostWho Crouch? Why not?Last edited by Red_hot; 17-02-07, 12:10 AM.RAFA! RAFAEL! RAFA! RAFAEL! How bizarre. As if he is! How do you work that one out when he's our top scorer?
As for the giving fouls away....it's not as if it's entirely his fault, is it. Defenders have got wise - they just lean into him...into his midriff....leaving Crouchie pretty much nowhere else to put his arms. He is also often penalised for absolutely **** all - the last England shambles bears testament to that. His height isn't always quite the 'advantage' it is perceived to be. In this instance it works against him. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Michael Owen was always our top scorer yet he was more of an England player than a Liverpool one. Crouch to me just seems like he is going down the same road now he is at a big club. He cant jump without climbing over people and he shouldnt need to do that. The times he doesnt do it, his headers are lame.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View Post

I agree about Owen but IMO Crouch is nothing like that. I mean, why do you think that? Is it just because he's scored **** loads of goals for England? What's he supposed to do? Miss on purpose?Originally posted by Red_hot View PostMichael Owen was always our top scorer yet he was more of an England player than a Liverpool one. True
I don't think he'll go down the same road that Micheal Owen did - besides, England fans hate him...

A hardcore Manc mate of mine ****ing SLAUGHTERED me when we signed Crouch. The baiting was incessant, and he constantly mocked and mocked.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostCould be beause he gets picked for England but bizarrely doesn't for Liverpool?
I don't know, but I think he's been left out too often this season.
However, he got quieter, and quieter, and quieter.
Then, amazingly, in a conversation about three months ago (just after they beat us at OT where PC was a sub), he had this to say:
"Actually...I can't believe I'm saying this...I feel sorry for Crouch. He seems to score almost every time he plays yet the week after he's on the bench. What does he have to do? He's your best striker."
This remark was a shock of colossal proportions. He is a proper Manc...DETESTS us and can't bring himself to say anything nice about us or any of our players EVER. I know it's only one bloke, that none of you know, but it said a lot to me.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Crazy thread this one.
For what it's worth, IMO Crouch is a top bloke and good to have around as a third choice striker. I'm not sure he'll be at Anfield in August though, as we really need to sign someone who can score goals in the same vein as Rush, Fowler and Owen. Rafa has obviously realised this now.
Crouch is a decent player though, but he's piss poor trying to score with his head which I don't get when he's 6'7". Surely he should work hard towards his strengths. He's 'got a good first touch for a big man' but the second touch is infrequently good enough (i.e. good through ball etc.). His shooting is ok but nothing more.
Good fella though

Crouch scoring is neither here nor there. All the Liverpool players who have played for England have done just that, played for them and got on with it. Crouch seems to be going the same way as Owen did, being more England motivated than club motivated.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI agree about Owen but IMO Crouch is nothing like that.
