Oh, to be a manager..... I'd say only Rafa and the coaches know if he is ready to play. Rafa would not start him if he had any doubts on him. Anyone knows that if you aren't playing competitive football regularly you lose match fitness eg : Shaun Wright Phillips at Chavski.

Some players don`t need time to get "Match fit",it`s a mentality SWP and Chelsea as a whole don`t inspire.Xabi came back after a long lay off (Against ..........? in the CL last yr) and was MOTM.
