I have to admit I've never seen Voronin play but by all accounts his record is pretty ****e. It seems a strange signing. I'm willing to bet with anyone that he'll sign and be sold within a year to Everton or Dynamo Kiev etc.

I agree with you regarding keeping Pongolle but god unfortunately has to go. He's an absolute shadow of his former self and if Voronin isn't better than him then that means he's a championship player.

For the record, I love Fowler as much as anyone but he's no longer good enough for us.

I have a feeling Peter Crouch will go, think Luis will stay though. Alves will come in (new contract or not). Rafa keeps goin on about converting the chances we make so he will look for a clinical striker to replace Peter. I hope not. It would be horrible if we went through another lottery of buying a goalkeeper. Every single one of our managers over the last 15 years has failed miserbaly in that department apart from Rafa who brought in Reina.

essentially, there are THREE key positions to fill, two attacking midfielders/winger and one top class striker.

I'd sell Zenden, Fowler, Dudek, Cisse, Le Tallec, Kewell, Pongolle etc

The core of our squad is strong, there's no need to bring in 5 or 6 players Rafa. Spend your budget on players of proven quality.

Totally agree with that. Garcia must stay though.
