True......worry with Paletta is the lack of pace and decision making, if u have one or the other when you are fairly 'raw' then you can get away with it to a certain degree. He needs a season on loan to get used to the pace and physical side of the Premiership!

We don't have to have the same-for-same "1 in - 1 out" player each time one leaves, it's the overall 28 (?) man squad that matters, for sure our next striker is going to be totally different to any we have now.

But I agree, and my views on LG are well known, he can stay for as long as he and Rafa want him to stay, he isn't pivotal but he is an important player for us.

Obviously that squad allows for a bit of versatility. For example Arebola can play anywhere across the back four, similarly I think we'll see Stevie playing left, right and center next season.

But essentially, there are THREE key positions to fill, two attacking midfielders/winger and one top class striker.

I'd sell Zenden, Fowler, Dudek, Cisse, Le Tallec, Kewell, Pongolle etc

The core of our squad is strong, there's no need to bring in 5 or 6 players Rafa. Spend your budget on players of proven quality.

I thought he was very good last season, this season he has been injured a lot sadly. He also offers great versitility and can get a goal out nothing.
