The Question is though.....if he was so good why did Rafa drop him for the chelsea games?? It was only a mistake because Warnock or Troare arent good enough either.....Risse is the best of a bad bunch in my opinion. but he is still good....just not real good

If you read back, I never said he was at fault for any goals, that was someone else.

If this turned out to be true and we could get an inflated price I'd go for it. Or if we could get a less silly price with Gallas thrown in who would be a superb centre back for us in my view.

IMO yes. Not compulsory of course.

But if you dont rate a player who contributed in a big way to our best defensive record in years then presumably you dont think he should be in the side. That being the case then presumably you have a replacement in mind.

I don't think Riise is good enough to play against the top sides at LB (or LM TBH). In that sense, yes, I suppose I don't think he should be in teh side. He's a decent enough player to play against everyone else bar Chelsea, Utd and Arsenal, and I'm not in favour of getting rid.

I don't have a replacement in mind within teh squad, as Warnock is pish, and I have no idea how Aurelio is. I am not a scout, and don't know of many decent LBs, let alone one good enough to replace an already adequate Riise.

Cant argue any further with that, apart from the fact that he was and is our best LB and will be our best bet against Chelsea, Utd and Arsenal.
