I didn t see it coming yesterday, I was upset initially that Pennant was nt being left further upfield for a quick counter. I had the same feeling of sickness as I did with the first Forlan goal the other year.

But I think at present Man Utd do have a hold on us, they have a generation of players that have won the league and against them we sometimes play like a team with too much to prove. I thought the first half was indicative of a team with too much anxiety to win, too many poor passes and hopeful balls. Second half we were much better though, but without the end product.

At home the onus is on us to beat Man Utd, all of the memorable late stages victories we have had over them in recent years have been at their place, when the onus is on them to beat us. The Murphy lob came in a game after a poor run too, we were given no chance of winning that game.

Also I remember being 1-2 (or was it 0-1?)behind when Heskey (in an injury time) had an open goal, but tripped. Was depressed for almost a month after that!
      Alright stop it now.

      Happy thoughts.

I remember that so very well. I had the best view imaginable and was almost celebrating before Emile had swung his boot. Silly me. I think that was the game when Pongo came on, ran Ferdinand ragged and was denied what looked a blatant pen when Craig David tripped him.

So all in all, it still is painful to lose against the filth in the last minute of the game, but we played them off the park! It was like playing against a conference side sometimes. And this team is supposed to be a Premiership champion? Oh please, that's embarrassing! People will laugh at the Premiership.

Hope we beat them in the CL if we meet!
              he wouldnt of scored anyway

[LIST][*]The FA Cup game in the late 90s, when we led for 88 minutes through an Owen goal. Not one, but TWO last minute goals.
I think we led through a Paddy Berger freekick rather than an Owen goal and then they scored 2 late goals. That was the year they won the ****ing treble, after 2 last minute goals against Bayern, *****.

I just think it's down to players, our strikers aren't good enough at the highest level collectively.
We should have been 3-0 up before they scored, had it been 3-1 I'd have been quite content with their late goal

I know the game you are thinking of there RC - Berger scored a beautiful free kick and then while Sami was off the pitch getting treatment they equalised. That game finished 1-1.
The 2 late goals they got in the FA Cup match were indeed in the same game Owen scored to put us 1 up. It was a header from a Heggem cross if memory serves me?

                    Yes, it's coming back now

I must have done my best to erase the memories.

Unfortunately each of our defeats at the hands of those scumbags are burnt into my memory.

Our 4-0 victory at Anfield where Beardo taught them a lesson in class is burnt into my memory

Some good things to come out of yeaterday were Scholes getting a straight red and Rooney picking up a knee injury.
Hopefully they'll both be out next week and Boro will kick them out of the cup.

                          • The FA Cup game in the late 90s, when we led for 88 minutes through an Owen goal. Not one, but TWO last minute goals.
                          • Rio Ferdinand's wholly undeserved 90th minute winner at their place last season.
                          • And finally, yesterday.

Why does this happen so often? Why is it always so inevitable? As Giggs stepped up to take that free-kick yesterday, I turned away and didn't watch. I knew what was coming.

Are we gutless? Do we have some kind of inferiority complex on the pitch?

When was the last time we scored a last minute winner against them?

According to a table on page 18 of today's Observer Sports Section, United have scored in the last 5 mins in a fifth of all their Premiership games ever, so its not just against us but something they do on a fairly regular basis.

                          Still hurts like hell though.

And for the record we have scored 100 goals in the last 5 minutes of our 572 Premiership games, which equals 17%.

Statistics eh? They are so exciting.

When the scum were awarded the free kick I left the room, because I knew what was going to happen and couldn't bring myself to watch it.

Yes. They have done for the past 30 years - even when they were ****.
                                Another MASSIVE game
