SAF has the edge over Rafa in the league for sure.

Rafa has no goals and 1 point in 6 meetings since he arrived.

God, I'm hurting today - it's like we handed them the title on a plate, even a CL win won't wash this away.

It /might/ comfort some of you, another cup win would only be the small consolation prize, and would even further cement what they say - we are currently nothing more than a very good cup side.

1 point from 12 from our fiercest rivals this year, the BS & the scum, already they are gloating about being guaranteed 6 points next year due to us at least not getting relegated, tw@ts.

I think they had a hold over us a few years ago when we hadn't beaten the for a while, but now we lose because although we've played them off the park, one they don't give up and two, we don't score.

                Actually that's what they said.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

It's frustrating that we didn't dominate them more in midfield. The superiority of Alonso, Sissoko, and Gerrard over Scholes and Carrick was cancelled out by the dynamism of Ronaldo and Rooney.

When we should have been taking it to them in the first half and pummeling them, they still looked dangerous on the break, and our midfield was always caught having to cover those two.

                    • The FA Cup game in the late 90s, when we led for 88 minutes through an Owen goal. Not one, but TWO last minute goals.
                    • Rio Ferdinand's wholly undeserved 90th minute winner at their place last season.
                    • And finally, yesterday.

Why does this happen so often? Why is it always so inevitable? As Giggs stepped up to take that free-kick yesterday, I turned away and didn't watch. I knew what was coming.

Are we gutless? Do we have some kind of inferiority complex on the pitch?

When was the last time we scored a last minute winner against them?

they are just very lucky its as simple as that, theres no need for any deeper analysis than that

Perhaps because by and large they've been a better team than us for the last 15 years.

Of course we had a spell under Ged where we were unbeaten against them in 7 games. Winning most of them.

Also Aurelio looked very good when he came on and Scholes got sent off.
