Alves is better than him but I wouldn't have anything against Alves on the right and Lennon on the left.
    On the left!!??

      Sad but true.

balague reckons alves will go to barca for 27m euros, but that was tuesday. as for lennon, cant cross imo, if you combined lennon with pennant youd have a hell of a player, but all said and done would love to have alves.

I suppose his contract situation would have an impact, but I have no idea where he's at with his contract with Spurs.

If we're talking about the Spurs game, I'd take Malbranque

Strong, skillful, relatively quick can cross and gets into good positions

Though quite why he was on the right with Lennon on the left I don't know
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

We were linked with lMalbranque lots of times under Houllier. Decent player but the time has passed on that one. He is at his level now - can't see him rising any higher.

I would take Berbatov ahead of those players He has the guile and vision we lack in attack. Best I have seen since Bergkamp.

He is a touch of class. Wouldn't say no to him at all, but we lack a finisher to get on the end of moves and score plenty of goals and I'm not sure he is that type of player.

Still I do think he's quality

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Adriano does good for me on the left in PES6. Scores from there too
