I quite agree, my housemate's a Spurs fan so I see a fair bit of him. Yeah he's proper fast, but his end product leaves a lot to be desired... good player but needs some tuning before he can be seen as a great player and in the £10m+ bracket.

Lennon may be as good as Alves one day but he isn't close to the class Alves have yet.

Lennon can be MoM in some games but Alves is MoM something like eight out of ten games whatever team Sevilla play against.

If the £15m buyout clause is right in Alves contract then I don't think there is any question who Rafa would sign.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

he is still a risk IMO. He is not physically stong looking (i know looks can be decieving) and does go missing from his full back position regularly, both of them points would get tested alot more in the Premier League.
Thats not to say he would be playing full back if he joined us.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Milner does look a very good player, still very young and has most requirements for a modern footballer.

Lennon has far more in his locker than Pennant, although still very raw. Lennon will run directly at the opposition at pace, which not too many players try, a good trait.

Alves, after this season he's a definite purchase if we can afford him. End of.

Yup - good call on reflection, I'm sure the lure of CL football would persuade him to jump ship, if asked.

I think i speak for most people when i say RS4 is never "mean" to anyone. But he has an aquired sense of humour.

                              Which i like BTW.
