No fee had been agreed by then between us and Charlton. The original poster said the fee and personal terms had been agreed for Kuyt, so I doubt he'd be playing in some crap friendly with the risk of injury and ten million down the shoot.

Not especially, given the modern age's transport "possibilities". Reading is a few miles north of London.Originally posted by Faganwhy how far is reading from liverpool
Like Chris says above, if Kuyt plays for Feyenoord tomorrow I don't think it'll mean anything in terms of whether we'll sign him or not. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Exactly, and to be honest i'd imagine we'd be happy he was playing games rather than rotting somewhere getting unfit like Ashley Cole is currently doing + Like you say he's their player, their star player at that and they're going to want him in top condition incase any move doesnt happen. People can come back with "But what if he a breaks a leg or gets a serious injury?" but you can't live in a World of ifs and buts.Originally posted by kurtangle01good point.
until we sign him, if we sign him, then he's their player and they can use him as they wish. hopefully tomorrow will be his last game for them.

Sky Sports reported the fee had been agreed that Friday afternoon (So it might of even been agreed a day or so before Sky even got hold of it). Go back and check the article for yourself mate, the Traore and Faye deals being agreed were announced by Sky just hours before we played MainzOriginally posted by Scottie DeepNo fee had been agreed by then between us and Charlton. Nonsense. I'm sure both clubs wouldn't want to risk injury and losing the money if they were at an advanced stage in the deal.
I know it's hard to take, but most info posted from supposed 'sources' tends to be made up rubbish.
If Kuyt ever signs it'll be after we qualify for Europe when we have the funds to make a bid.Last edited by Scottie Deep; 11-08-06, 11:57 PM.

until we agree a price he's their player so it obvious that he should travel with their squad. the fact that the game is in england is even more reason to travel if we agree a fee tomorrow.Originally posted by Scottie DeepAll the more reason for Kuyt not to travel then.Babel fanclub member # 4!!!
