Lets hope he does well. Iv got a feeling he may turn out to be another morientes. There both the same type of players.

Just hope Kuyt does better. Did anyone see the dutch game???

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar looks a great player.

No he didnt. When the reporter said "so you're signing for Liverpool then?" he had a massive grin and looked away from the reporter. All looked very positive body language

What little I have seen of Kuyt and having seem Morientes not sure I agree with your comment. Also if has been measured Shearer is a good comparision then again I dont agree with your comment. If he comes we will see how he goes, I think he has the strength to succeed whereas Moro did not. Time will tell
          Rafa please get me.....
          Van Der Vaart

eh? As in - failed to score himself. Jones went close with some screamers too.

Don't think I don't rate Momo, I do, he's awesome - but I'm surprised he was once a goal machine, as he now looks like he could be a once in a blue moon scorer. If he ever becomes a 10-a-season Midfielder, he'll be a World Beater.

I guess we wont know till he starts playing for uz. Maybe he will be prolific goalscorer or just play the same role as crouch, holding up the ball and keepin possession.

I hope the deal isnt worth more than 10million! though.

some reports say 10million euros and others say 18million euros!

You are correct my friend, we will have to wait until the season starts.

I would have to say the price is going to ve closer to 18million euros isnt that like 10M pounds or so? I think with all the rumors on the net the numbers get confused with euros and pounds

He's nothing like morientes. Kuyt is as strong as an ox, he's more in the keegan mark hughes mold - bustler who'll hold the ball up really well, bring others into play, has a powerful shot and can poach goals. good in the air. He's also - which is something Rafa really likes - versatile. He can play up front or out wide.

If Rafa spends £10M on a striker who's scored 71 goals in 110 league games and plays him on the left side of midfield, I think I'll fcuking cry.

                        Liverpool signs Kuyt
                        17 August 2006

Liverpool has signed Dutch striker Dirk Kuyt. Kuyt played on Wednesday evening with The Netherlands against Ireland in Dublin, while being watched by a group of Newcastle scouts. They were unable to sign the Feyenoord player though.

It is rumoured Liverpool is paying eighteen million euro. It makes Kuyt the most expensive player in the history of Feyenoord.

For weeks there were speculations going round about Kuyt joining either Newcastle United or Liverpool. Kuyt had only one dream; playing in the Premier League. Feyenoord was always willing to talk to other clubs fortunately for Kuyt.

Kuyt signed a four-year deal at Liverpool and could already make his debut this weekend against Shefffield United.

Looks like it's definite. I heard last night that looks like Owen is out for the entire season. The barcodes are ****ed.

Yeh there was a comment during the football to that effect.
