Could we possibly break the british transfer record again in doing so?

A prolific striker will cost a lot of money and so far our managers have not been able to afford to sign a top quality striker.

Cisse wasn't a top quality striker but he costed us £14m. If you want a top quality proven striker then you will have to pay £20m+ for him.

Bellamy out and Villa in this summer.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Bellamy won't leave for Villa in the summer. Just my opinion though.

I like bellemy and think he offer a lot to the team in terms of his endevour and general workrate. However i accept the need for a prolific striker and that he maybe isn't that player. At the end of the day though it wont be the end of the world if Craig Bellemy is still a Liverpool player next year, unless noted by use of observable science.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

We should try and tempt Spurs with a big offer for Berbatov.

David Villa seems a little far fetched but can you imagine if Rafa signed him along with Berbatov?

I'd pay 15m for Obefemi Martins.

He's playing well at the moment. I'm not sure he scores enough goals though.

Berbatov is a good shout. Spurs will do well to keep hold of him in the summer.

I have to admit, I like Martins. He'd be a good signing. I doubt he will be at Newcastle next season.

There are so many strikers in the premeirship better than what we have.

I'd consider him, not sure about the price though...swap with Crouch and a little more on top?

                        That would probably do it.

But don't Spurs also want Crouch? If they do I'd be up for 10 million plus Crouch for Berbatov.

Really? That is 20 mill plus.
                          Is he that good?

Replace Crouch with Berbatov, how many more goals would Berbatov have scored if he got the same number of clear cut chances that Crouch have had this season?

                            My guess is 10+.

Like Berbatov but he is not prolific
                              Dare we believe

I would sign Huntelaar before Berbatov and he would also cost less than Berbatov.

Villa and Huntelaar upfront. That would be nice
