We'll be going ahead with the 60,000 capacity stadium with a view to expand it to whatever the new owners feel we can. I can't see it any other way.

but we can't expand the stanley park stadium, thats the big problem..."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

Tell the div to at least spell Laing O'Rourke properly first if he wants to be taken seriously.Originally posted by kopite View PostJust got this from another site, is this true ????????????????
Lang O Rourke the builders have today withdrawn the design team for the construction of the 60,000 seater in Stanley Park. They have been instructed to re-instate the enabling works as the found it.
Work is too commence on the design of a 90,000 seater stadium. I am currently working indirectly for Lang O Rourke on a contract in Liverpool thats my source.
Like my my source back in November/December last year when i mentioned that Liverpool FC had solded out to the owner of the Haarlem Globetrotters. ( Mr Gillett )
watch this space , scoff if you like , wait and see if this one comes true like the forementioned.

No the travel network is considered...another 10,000 in or around the stanley park area is obviously a concern for the council.Play the Man of the Match game in the sticky thread!

Thanks for the credit, 'Sir Bob'...Originally posted by Sir Bob Paisley on Koptalk Sunday March 11th 9.12pm
I've been given some interesting info last night about the proposed new stadium.
I have it on pretty good authority that following the Champions League game against Barca Hicks and Gillette have made some significant decisions regarding the new stadium.
I would be betraying a confidence to say exactly what, but lets say construction will not be starting anytime soon.
They have been contemplating this for a while and I'm lead to believe that the experience last Tuesday helped them make up their minds. I'm also sure the fact that they have now been confirmed as the owners is also a contributing factor.
I'm told from somebody involved directly in the project from the club side of things that they do not feel that the current plans are ambitious enough.
They want our new stadium to be the best club football stadium in the country. They have strong views that the proposed 60,000 stadium does not come close to what they want to achieve.
How this affects funds, grants, fund for players, etc, I have no idea and neither did my contact.
Nor do I know when things are likely to become public, but I'd guess pretty soon if we are expecting construction to start and it doesn't.
However from what I've been told, whatever the delay and the possible issues with having to go through planning and consulation again, we will be really happy with the outcome. Especially those of us on the season ticket waiting list!
Sorry if this is a bit vague, but I'm sure you can put 2 and 2 together here and come pretty close to what I'm getting at.
Cheers all
Sir Bob.
Did you really think that nobody on here would see you posting this and passing it off as your own information on KT? :whatever:There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

Had he credited me more people would have believed it because they know I have posted reliable information from the same source in the past.
