      Exactly scully. That's how I feel. I had so many reasons to not like him. But I just could never help but love him. Emlyn Hughes, for all those faults, is one of my all time favourites!

        Same here when i started to hate him was when I heard stories of him being in the gym at melwood and as soon as the coaches where gone he would leave the running machine going and eat and egg sandwich and read the paper. As soon as they come in he would poor water over his head and start on the running machine and the coach would tell everyone what a pro athlete Razor was.

          I officially hate this thread. Slagging off ex-players no matter how c unty does not fit with my understanding of the liverpool way

          All of these guys have played their part in our wonderfilled history.

                    I met Emlyn in Portugal just after the Italia '90 World Cup when he'd been a pundit for ITV. He was sound and would sit at the bar talking about football for ages. Every morning he would do a training session by the pool for all the young kids there and buy them all a lolly ice afterwards.
