I think you'll find it changed it's stance when Blair got in (or during that 1997 election) and is now very pro labour. But then Blair is a Tory is he not?

Never buy or even read The Sun or NOTW, even refused to buy for some fella in work years ago, when i was the can lad. Got a bollicking of my boss but i still refused to get it for him every day. In the end he started reading the Mirror.

It's common knowledge that the Sun has massively supported Labour and Blair. This is not my opinion - it has been News International policy since 1997.

Sorry of that doesn't fit in with your campaign, but that's just how it is.

And, speaking as a proper working class person, I don't think any entreaties from newspapers would in any way influence my vote. Working class people aren't sheep, although public school toffs like Blair like to treat us with utter contempt

But that's what I was saying above (and which prompted Brendan to idiotically jump down my throat): Murdoch, on Thatcher's advice, switched The S*n's support to Tory Blair in 1997.

LOL, but I had to sit next to him for at least another 2-3 hours!

I mention it passing to his missus when he went to the loo, so hopefully she said something later

i dont personally but it seems a big no no for everyone.
im just asking because i was wondering do we actually make any sort of dent in their readership.
we must but i wonder is it an issue that theyd love to resolve to beef up their numbers.
Anyone caught the S*n advert? It was on last night – I have no idea when or where as I was too inebriated – and I did my usual :whatever: or one finger salute whenever I hear the name. “We Love It” bollocks….no, we ****ing hate it and want "THE TRUTH".

I couldn't manage to change sides quick enough (hand/eye co-ordination still askew) and it had to bite my tongue when all these 'fans' saying how much they loved the rag - they even had a ****ing female scouse voice on it. Stupid bint.

Brendan - without acting like an utter thundercunt for a change, where do you draw the line?

Funny you should say that. Read this in the Guardian today...
