Who's saying our players are whiter than white? I think we're all big enough to accept that our players do it, and not just the foreign ones. One of the worst offenders was Owen. But even he was not as bad as Ronaldo.
And I'm not so sure Syd's point is specifically about 2 particular dives. And if it is it is kind of a moot point. I'm leaning towards Red Chilli on this one - we're partisan fans, being a football supporter is an extremely subjective experience, defending our players and criticising opponents is part of the job. I'm not going to have a pop at any Red who wants to blast Ronaldo while defending Stevie
realistically there's little or no logic at all to being a football supporter with a single allegiance to single club. it's totally possible for a football fan to change allegiance all the time purely on the basis of your appreciation of what football is about - although these fans will not be seen as real football fans by the vast maojrity of football fans who are partisan. if you like the more tactical/defensive side of football your present allegaince would be either to ourselves of chelsea. if it's more based on "the beautiful game" it's probably more geared to (deep breath) man u or arsenal or even spurs or reading at the moment or what barcelona were doing lat year - the fact that they won the best possible double last year probably made the vast majority of football fans happy because it was a victory for the type of fotball that's by far the most thrilling to watch.
i'll be honest - even though i'm a liverpool fan of 27 years, i do not genuinely possess a heartfelt and significant hatred of man u or everton. do irish reds, for example, agree with me that when you meet scum fans from ireland who are viciously anti-liverpool - and vice versa - there's something obviously ludicrous about it?
on a lesser level is constant prejudice towards your own players not in some way non-sensical at some stage? we'd all think that opposing fans who stood up for ronaldo or robben ( far more outrageously dramatic) were being idiotic and that their "fandom" was totally clouding their most basic reason?
gerrard falls over relatively easily in certain areas at certain times - there are other times a ****in prison wall couldn't stop him. ronaldo always looks arrogant when he does something to benefit homself or his team which includes a more spectacular type of falling over so it's a lot easier to single him out because of his prickish demeanour. they both "cheat" to succeed though.
i actually think gerrard looks for penos all the time
that he does

Both Gerrard and Ronaldo dives. Gerrard does it one or two times/game and Ronaldo does all the time.
You can't win the league if you don't get cheated penalties. Blame the refs and the FA for that. If they banned cheaters after the games then it would be much less cheating.
I hate cheaters but you must have them in the team if you want to win anything.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
Like him or hate, diver or no diver, cheat or no cheat, this season I have not seen a better performer in world football. Ronaldo is an incredible talent who, at 21 could go on to become an all time great of the game.
What Liverpool should do is find the youth coach and chief scout at Sporting Lisbon and offer them anything for their services.
Figo, Simao, Ronaldo, Quaresma, and now the new kid Nani - that is an exceptional production line of success.
Ronaldo when he first came on to the scene fell over when a breeze was blowing, but he is improving as a footballer every year and it is a huge regret that we never got him.
