What's to say he'd be our star signing though. It's easy to slip into this depressive thing that people seem to get into each summer. Oh no, we've after Pennant, oh no, we're after Bellamy. Players can fail at clubs because of the system. Look at Shevchenko. He's a million miles away from being ****, but he just doesn't suit the system that Chelsea play, so he's not first on the team sheet.

Kaka's style of play will not be fitting in England. He loves to dribble and take his time. Not all EPL centre-backs play like Titus Bramble you know.

Gudjohnsen is class, and the kind of player we need to link the midfield and attack. Gudjohnsen can do it while still playing as a striker, Garcia does it by playing as an attacking midfielder/off the striker. He's not got a bad goal record either, 52 in 160 odd in the league for Chelsea, with a lot of sub appearances last 2 seasons there.

I'd love to sign gudjohnsen. If the sinking feeling in my gut when i saw him coming on for Barca at Anfield is anything to go by, I think he's a top class attacking player. Always a goal threat.

he is a talented player, but I dont thinkhe would add much more in goal threat than what we have at the moment, he is a 10-15 goal a season man.

But he is a cocky **** and that would go very much against him inwanting him to sign for us

Think about it, rafa doesn't have more than 4 strikers at a time, so if he's already replaced Fowler with Voronin (however you spell it), eiter Crouch or Bellamy would go to make way for that elusive 20goal a season striker- Gudjohnsen? He will not get 20goals a season.

So unless Crouch and Bellamy are both off in the summer, I would be disappointed if we signed him. Especially since we've been setting ourselves up with the likes of Villa, Torres etc.

I think a 8 mill Eidur is much a better deal than a 25 mill+ Torres or Villa.
