He's one of the best finishers in the world. His goalscoring record in Italy is sick and despite not settling and not getting a decent run at it, his record at Chelsea was exceptional considering how long he was there.

Hernan Crespo? Is he the answer?

Yes. He didn't really like it here, so I doubt he will want a return.Originally posted by dww View PostI think he is a good player, from his time at Chelsea I'm not sure he adapted that well to the PL. He did have a decent goal return though. Nonethless, he left Chelsea because his family prefered in in Italy. I doubt anything much has changed in that regards, so he won't be coming to us.--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--

Don't think he fitted in to Mourinho's system and tactical ethos. Chelsea's loss really.I hate Polanski

Mourinho seemed genuinely to want to keep him though, so he must have done something right. I suspect Jose would much rather have kept Crespo than to have Shevchenko in.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostWas just going to say something similar.

He let him leave for nothing, maybe he didn't have a choice in the matter.Originally posted by dww View PostMourinho seemed genuinely to want to keep him though, so he must have done something right. I suspect Jose would much rather have kept Crespo than to have Shevchenko in.
It was reported that Crespo wanted to return to Italy anyway. Quality player, no doubt about it.I hate Polanski

Agree, but he didn't really enjoy his time over here so i doubt he'd relish coming back. He'll play the rest of his career in Italy/Argentina IMO....

I'm with you here Dirty me lad.Originally posted by dirty_sanchez View PostYou guys are loons. Crespo is a brilliant striker. He's EXACTLY what we need.
Many of our defeats/drawn games could have been wins if we'd had Hernan Crespo on the end of the chances we created.
His movement/anticpation is first class and as for that one-touch finish in Istanbu (from Kaka's pass) ...........well you have to say it was world class.

I doubt that Chelsea would sell him to us.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
