He's one of the best finishers in the world. His goalscoring record in Italy is sick and despite not settling and not getting a decent run at it, his record at Chelsea was exceptional considering how long he was there.
Such an ugly face, such an ugly mouth.

Yes. He didn't really like it here, so I doubt he will want a return.

Was just going to say something similar.

Don't think he fitted in to Mourinho's system and tactical ethos. Chelsea's loss really.

Mourinho seemed genuinely to want to keep him though, so he must have done something right. I suspect Jose would much rather have kept Crespo than to have Shevchenko in.

He let him leave for nothing, maybe he didn't have a choice in the matter.

It was reported that Crespo wanted to return to Italy anyway. Quality player, no doubt about it.

Agree, but he didn't really enjoy his time over here so i doubt he'd relish coming back. He'll play the rest of his career in Italy/Argentina IMO.

Unquestionable talent - but I just can't see him settling on Merseyside if he hated London so much.

Quality player, has just what we're lacking up front so would be pleased if we signed him but can't see it happening tbh.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I'm with you here Dirty me lad.
Many of our defeats/drawn games could have been wins if we'd had Hernan Crespo on the end of the chances we created.
His movement/anticpation is first class and as for that one-touch finish in Istanbu (from Kaka's pass) ...........well you have to say it was world class.

A real genuine thoroughbred IMO. A gifted, natural finisher/predator, at the wrong end of his career.

                              We'll never sign him, like.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He looks like Melanie Blatt far to much for my liking. He is a great player but I cant stand him.
