Some players are unlcuky with injuries and some spend their whole career without one. Too bad for FA as he had a sound match for us vs the arse.

Barnes was a classic example of somone who suffered badly from such an injury. He was never the same player after his achilles injury.

Ironically, we only really had 4 good seasons out of Barnes: 1987-88 to 1990-91, during which time we blew a really good chance of 3 doubles: Wimbledon, Arsenal & Palace.
I guess I was hoping that if indeed it was snapped it would have been diagnosed straight away and the reason that Rafa never confirmed it was because there was hope that it wasn't as bad.
