Some players are unlcuky with injuries and some spend their whole career without one. Too bad for FA as he had a sound match for us vs the arse.
    Get well soon.

Barnes was a classic example of somone who suffered badly from such an injury. He was never the same player after his achilles injury.

That was because Souness defied doctors orders and had digger on the stepping machine 2 weeks after he resumed light training and helped worsen the injury apparently.

Let's hope Fabio doesn't damage it further bouncing on the podium in Athens.......

Feel very sorry for Fabio. Just as he's starting to look a player for us.......hope he makes a swift recovery.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Ironically, we only really had 4 good seasons out of Barnes: 1987-88 to 1990-91, during which time we blew a really good chance of 3 doubles: Wimbledon, Arsenal & Palace.

Yep - the lad was taking it very bad - It must feel like the end of the world for him tonight - Hopefully he'll get over this and get back soon

****ing hell lads, judging by some of the posts on here, you would think it had already been confirmed that FA has snapped his Achilles.

Lets wait for the official news tomorrow. I'm still hoping he's back for the Reading game this weekend or the return leg.

That would be a bit deluded, I think it's obvious he's out for a while, Rafa didn't seem too confident about it

Has he? Did he speculate on the amount of time that Fabio could be out?

didn't confirm a snap, just confirmed there was a problem with his achillies and that we would know more tomorrow

Hopefully not as bad as we fear at the moment then.

I guess I was hoping that if indeed it was snapped it would have been diagnosed straight away and the reason that Rafa never confirmed it was because there was hope that it wasn't as bad.
