I still think it will be an All English SF vs an All Italian SF

That would be nice for both SerieA and The Premiership but I have a bad feeling about the chavs. They'd have a point to prove after 2005. Out of the 2 teams we could get I'd rather play Valencia. I don't want the chavs.

It would be my worst nightmare.
90% of my mates are mancs and i don't think i'd ever to go out in public again if we were to lose to them in a European Cup Final.
        PLEASE NOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yes, OK there's a lot to do before hand...

But if it did happen it would be unbearable, the pre-match nerves would be unsurpassed.

A mate who watched the game with me said, 'surely (hypothetically) you'd forgo winning the PL for years to get one over on them...'

          "Not sure about that!"

But he went on (getting on my tits now), 'but can you imagine the pain of getting beaten on pens against them'.

It'd be ****ing HELL on earth let's face it.

          C'Mon Roma
          What a totally POINTLESS THREAD.

What if the Mancs beat us in the final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We`re in the Semi`s and their injuries keep mounting. They have another 4 games before they reach the final,we have 2....................

          Calm down,alright,calm down,la.

I am dreading the thought of us and them in athens, that would need a damn site more than 300 spartans to defend the city

Didnt AC and Inter play in the final at old toilet a few years back?
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

It could be the best of times...it could be the worst of times...

Either way, the potential for violence makes me *yearn* for a Roma win.

I really bear thinking about the possibility of meeting the manc ****s in the final and god forbid lose. It will be almost as bad or maybe even worse than getting mugged by the Arse on that fateful final game of the season

Our record in the European Cup / CL finals has been fantastic. 6 finals, 5 wins, 1 loss (under very contraversial circumstances). If we met the scum in the finals, I think we'll turn them over

I prefer the optimism in this post rather than some of the others that I have read above, hence I quoted this one. The mancs haven't even kicked a ball yet in their 1/4 final, we still have the second leg to come (should be a formality, but never know), and even after that both sides would have semis to play.

Allied to that the extra matches that them from down the road have to play, and no-one knows who may or may not be fit, suspended or whatever.

If it does end up as us against them, 3 of the last 4 games I've watched us play against them, we were the better side, and we have the experience advantage in the CL. Unless I'm mistaken, only Neville, Scholes, Giggs and Van der Sar of their squad have played in a CL final, whereas most of ours have. It does make a difference.

Whereas none of ours had in 2005.

Still, plenty of time between now & then before I go into an apoplectic shock!
