Liverpool future in doubt for Garcia

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is weighing up the future of midfielder Luis Garcia.
The former Barcelona winger is out for the season with injury and The Times says while Benitez is anxious to tie up his senior players to new contracts, the position of Garcia is less clear.
"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

    Great little player...on his day.

But his best season was his first season.

He's better than Gonzalez or Voronin, that's for ****ing certain.

I think we'd be mad to let him go. We don't have many creative players as it is and there's no telling how well the new signings will fit in. Even if they do work out great, Garcia can cover a number of positions and would given us strength in depth when it comes to genuine creative talent.

                      I agree with all that.

Garcia, midfield goalscoring genius who constantly gives the ball away.

                      I`m 50/50.
Can we sign a goal scoring genius who can pass the ball aswell?

I actually think with better players around him he's lose the ball far less anyway. You tend to notice the games where he loses the ball most are the ones where people are not moving for him and he doesn't have options so ends up taking too much time on the ball. With a couple more quality attack minded players we'd get more out of him, and certain other players too.
