we won't win the champions league this year

    Reason 1
We wont get past chelski, because:

    i) they owe us one for the last semi.
ii) it's maureen's last season, and the players are doing it for him.
iii) at some point all that money has got to pay off.

    Reason 2
if we do get to the final, we'll loose to the mancs, because:

    i) they always beat us in big finals.
ii) it's fergie's last season, and the players are doing it for him.
iii) it's the 40th anniversary of their first european cup, this year they are the team of destiny.
iv) after their huge victory last night they have the big mo, they are the team of destiny.
    v) they're a better team than us.

I can feel it in me waters.

Tom, in the nicest possible way fella, go and stick your head in the bath a couple of seconds before dropping a live toaster in. Cheers.

Fergies last season? where did you hear that, because it's the first I have heard of it.
However, I feel plenty of people would have written us off in 05 too in a similar fashion, Juve, the chavs and Milan etc.
We have a chance and we are a better team now than we were then, I know we didn't get 3 points off them, but we have played then off the park for 90 mins already this season (united) and we have beaten the chavs.
Its not beyond us to win it again.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

          * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

                    Thanks Tom.
Just what I needed after the unbridled joy at last night's excellent football results.

Tom is back with a surprisingly pessimistic look into LFCs season.

                        WE WILL WIN #6

If he wins the Champions League again, I can't see him not retiring on that high. The reason he changed his mind was so that he could win it again.

I can't see him not using it as a motivating tactic for his players in some way shape or form. Not sure how, but he'll use everything he can to try and win it.
